Olga Bettas was born in Montevideo, where she works and lives.

EDUCATION
1983
Attends a course on Interior design at Aramayo Gallery and with Gino Moncalvo.
Begins to learn Gobelin and the technique of tapestry at Silke Bernit´s workshop, wool dyeing and other techniques at Perla Maggi´s workshop. Design classes with Ana Tiscornia and Carlos Bermudez.
1989
Enters the National School of Fine Arts, Universidad de la República (State University) graduating in 1991.
1991
Studies in textures and mixed media at Cecilia Brugnini´s workshop.
1992
Starts attending the Artistic Expression Center (CEA) by Nelson Ramos until the moment of his passing.
1994
